Exploring the Palma Garden Furniture Collection
Since the first release of Palma, this collection has reflected the modern casual dining and lounging lifestyle, with earthly materials and colours that are equal parts sophisticated and complimentary of a British garden. All its seats and tables are made with detailed handwoven synthetic rattan, which wraps around the entirety of the set from the slightly rounded armrests to the frame of the table. No matter what combination of furniture you have, Palma is bound to attract social events.
At the core of the range lies the classic Palma Signature Corner Set. This iconic seven-seater set has slotted into gardens across the country, providing a homely, communal space that’s set the scene for thousands of catch-ups over delicious food and drink. Though this is what Palma is renowned for, over the years we have grown the range significantly with sun loungers, low lounge set, mini sets and recliners with matching footstools. Now, you can have your entire outdoor space match with the same charming design no matter your needs.
How Did the Journey Begin?
When Palma was launched to the public in 2015, it introduced the concept of casual dining to the world. For those occasions when you wish to dine without losing the feeling of relaxation from a lounge set, Palma made it possible with a premium-quality table that was made at just the right height for lounging and dining on. Presented in two colourways – Whitewash and Rattan – Palma became an immediate hit.
How Palma Garden Furniture Has Changed Over the Last 10 Years
Over the years, Kettler’s Palma garden furniture sets have been revolutionised in a number of ways. In the beginning, they were only available with a slat table until we created a glass-top table that matched the set whilst offering a more luxurious option. From there, in 2019, the range expanded to include the Palma fire pit table as part of a set, igniting new ways to create a spectacle amidst the synthetic rattan that defines the Palma look.
2021 saw the largest update to the range yet, including the addition of the Palma Daybed, Palma Signature Low Lounge, Palma Duo and Palma Sofa sets. However, the most notable difference in the range is the new colourway since the range was launched: Oyster. Evoking the pebble beaches of the British seaside with a light rattan colouring complemented by stone-coloured cushions, the Oyster colour is a refreshing contrast to those who prefer light cushions and wish to inject a little warmth into their patio.
This year, Kettler has introduced the Signature range to Palma, which adds waterproof cushions, and our famous High/Low table, which can be height adjusted in a matter of moments. It’s like having a dining table and lounge table all in one.
